Operation Homefront Quilts

Operation Homefront Quilts is a project to send quilts to the immediate families of each U.S. service person killed during the conflict in Iraq.  We hope to provide support and love to these families through the comfort of a homemade quilt.

LPQG will be making Sampler Quilts for this project, approximately 40 inches square or 40" x 60" finished size.  Members are asked to make blocks12 1/2 inches square using patriotic colors.  We ask that you not use themes such as rockets, fireworks or firearms.  Stars and hearts are suggested, however, you may use any pattern you like.

If you wish to make a quilt on your own, please feel free to use any block pattern and size you desire.

Blocks or small quilts can be turned in to Debbie Davis at any meeting.  Please feel free to contact Debbie with any questions on this project.
